Our history
Martin Smith and Tony Shepherd had been working alongside each other on projects for over 15 years. Both had trained and been mentored within traditional trades, Martin in brickwork and Tony in carpentry.
Realising they shared the same ethos of professionalism and integrity, they decided to formalise the partnership in 2004, bringing their complementary operations together under the Riveroak banner and setting out to trade on a reputation for quality workmanship and high standards.
Driven by their mantra "Would I accept that in my house?" their vision was to become 'the building firm of choice' for Sevenoaks and the surrounding area.
